Living Room -

Georgie Goater & Juha Penttila

LIVING ROOM is a short film that explores the poetics of the body's intimate relation to domestic space and its nonhuman cohabitants. As the aliveness of things seeps into the perceptual field, the self disperses: into furniture, dust, light and shadow. Mundane details become maps to different times and places; portals flicker open to other landscapes, unsettling the distinction between inside and outside. A continuum of animacy shimmers across bodies and things in the shared porosity of body and house, each inhabiting and hosting the uncontainable.

MUSH-ROOM

is a performance that tugs at the threads of Living Room, releasing them into the imminent debris of Humina space, honouring its memory and matter through the idea of spores.
